Even if you were to call them to the right path, they will not follow you. Whether you call them or remain silent, it is the same for you.
Tafsir
Allah (swt) addresses the minds of these polytheists by sending one verse after another, inviting them to be rational and to think.
It is as follows: O people! If you set aside a share for your beloved idols from the profit that you have earned by selling them, that is, your idols, or if you call them to you, trying to make them benefit from the environment in which you are benefiting, they will neither hear you nor understand what you say. So do you not think whether you speak to them or not?
Do you not think, as human beings, that these cannot be Gods? The Creator is kind and merciful to His creatures. It is He who provides for His creatures and guides them to protect them from all evil.

Surah Al-A'raf, verse 193, says: if you call them to the right path, they will not follow you; whether you call them or stay silent, it is the same for you. Yes, even if we call them to the right path, they will not follow us. The reason is very simple. They had a veil drawn over their eyes (?) to see the truth, had their ears plugged so as not to hear the truth, and had their hearts sealed by Us, He says. For them there is a painful torment. So however much you call them to the truth, however much you tell them the truth, with such feelings they reach the point where the clouds in the sky would burst, and they will never listen to you.
As if there's a wall in front of you and you're talking to the wall. That's why Allah Almighty says: whether you stay silent or not, even if you explain the truth, they will not follow you. Because they do not hear and do not understand. Yes, Allah Almighty, with the verses He sent one after another, these people who associate partners, while addressing people's minds, while addressing, yes, by addressing, invites them to be of sound mind, to think.
Yes, by addressing the human mind, Allah Almighty invites people to the Truth, and suggests that by reflecting on the Truth they find the Truth. Namely: O people, if, from the earnings you made by selling them, that is, your idols, you set aside some money for the idols you love too, or, trying to let them benefit from the setting where you gain advantage, you called them to your side, they would neither hear you nor understand what you say. For these are lifeless. And for the living, He says this. For the living.
He likens it to a shepherd's sheep. Even if you call them, that is, if you speak, they hear what you say. That is, the animal, He says, hears the shepherd's shouting. But it doesn't understand what he says, He says. Yes, here too, a way of opening up that verse. O people! If, from the earnings you made by selling them, that is, your idols, you set aside a share for the idols you love too, or, from the setting where you gain advantage, tried to let them benefit and called them to your side, they would neither hear you nor understand what you say. So whether you talk to them or don't talk idly, don't you notice at all, He says.
Don't you notice at all, don't you think? Yes, and those who worship what they call god, lifeless things they made, um, (?), that god, his own god, that person who worships it as god, does he never think? The god that created him, his god, will be in need of what it created. Can there be a god like that? We do not know our Lord like that. We know our Lord like this. The Creator, who brought the worlds into being from nothing, our Lord,
Allah, does not need His creatures, and He gives abundantly to His creatures. He is the Forgiving, the Compassionate, who feeds and gives drink, and gives them a life: Allah. That's what Allah is anyway. Would Allah need what He created? Allah Almighty has the attribute of Hayy. What is the attribute of Hayy?
He gives life to all His creatures, yet is free of those creatures. This is Allah. This is the Creator. He creates whatever He wishes, in proportion to His will. He, He says, it is His will. Whatever it is, He creates that. Well, while there is Allah who created such worlds, in service of which mind will you worship idols you carved with your hand and serve them? Allah, Allah! Look at the mind of this honorably created human. Again I say, at the root of this lies rebellion against Allah and, in the human nafs, pride, a haughtiness. In this case man is in fact rebelling against Allah who created him.
Yes, as human beings, do you not think that these cannot be gods? Yes, the Creator is tender and merciful toward His creatures. He gives His creatures their provision and, to protect them from every evil, guides them. This is the Creator; He is not in need of His creatures. And however wealthy we may be, we always take refuge in our Lord. Because we have neither another door to go to besides Him, nor another place to go besides Him. In this case, if a person does not, like this, in his Creator, the One who brought him from nothing, take refuge, to Him his own...
