Translation

“And there is a crime that they accuse me of. I fear that they may kill me for that.”

Tafsir

One day in the evening, when everyone was retiring to their homes, Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' went down to the city. He saw one of his supporters fighting with a Copt. He took the side of his own supporters and, according to one narration, killed the Copt with one punch. According to another narration, in order to separate the Copt from his own supporter, he pushes the Copt and the Copt goes backwards because of the pushing and his foot hits a stone and he falls. At that moment his head hit a stone and he died of brain hemorrhage. The punishment of Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' was also death. Knowing this, Hazrat Musa flees from Pharaoh and leaves Egypt.

The fact that he said, "Here is a crime that is being attributed to me, I am afraid that I will be slaughtered" means that he is presenting this crime to Allah (swt). Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' is not saying these things out of fear of death. Allah knows the hearts of people better than they do. Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm', while carrying out his Prophetic duty, presents these situations to Allah so that He does not make a mistake.

What is said in the video

"There is also a crime they lay to my charge." Now what does he say? "Well, I killed a man." It happened by accident, but, you know, a believer killing a believer can never be, except by accident, he says. An accident. Well, this was an accident too. By accident. What does he say? "There is also a crime they lay to my charge. Therefore I fear that they will kill me." I already explained it a little while ago. One day, towards evening, at a time when everyone had withdrawn to their homes, Moses (peace be upon him) goes down into the city. He sees one of his own side fighting with a Copt. Taking his own people's side, according to one account, he kills the Copt with a single punch. According to another account, to separate the Copt from his own people, he pushes the Copt, and from that push the Copt staggers backwards, his foot strikes a stone and he falls.

At that moment his head hits a stone and he dies of a brain haemorrhage. That is what really happened. He did not punch him. (?) say so, and we say this in response to those who say it. The punishment for Moses (peace be upon him) is also death. In this situation (?), Moses flees from Pharaoh's presence and leaves Egypt. "So there is also a crime charged against me." His saying "I fear they will kill me" is presenting this crime of his to Allah Almighty. Moses (peace be upon him) is not in fact saying these things as an excuse out of fear of death. Allah knows people's hearts better than people do.

So that Moses (peace be upon him) does not make a mistake while expressing his prophetic duty, he presents these circumstances of his to Allah.

Yes.
