Translation

(When he was told about the orders of Allah, Pharaoh) said, “Did we not take you in when you were a child and raise you? Did you not spend many years of your life among us?

Tafsir

Pharaoh's soothsayers told Pharaoh that a child would be born this year from the tribe of Israel and would depose you from your throne. So Pharaoh had the male children born that year killed and the female children left. Then the mother of Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' gave birth to Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm'. Fearing that her child would be killed, she put him in a chest and left him in the Nile river. In fact, this idea was told to the mother of Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' in her dream. The mother of Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' fulfilled her dream by placing Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' in a chest and placing him in the Nile River.

Then, as Allah (swt) willed, the chest came to the shore in the garden of Pharaoh's palace. Seeing this, Pharaoh's wives took the child from the chest and brought him to Pharaoh. Pharaoh decided to raise Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' in the palace and they wanted to hire a wet nurse for the child. But Hazrat Moses would not accept the milk of any wet nurse. Then his sister, who was following the chest in the Nile, came to the palace and asked if she could recommend a wet nurse for you. She then recommended his mother. Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' was also reunited with his mother. Hazrat Musa sucked his mother's milk and was raised by his mother in the palace. Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' grew up in Pharaoh's palace. This cilveyi Rab'baniye is a miracle of Allah on human beings.

Pharaoh, did we not take you as a child and raise you among us? Didn't you spend many years of your life among us? He says, "From whence do you come to us as the messenger of Allah?

What is said in the video

In verse 18 of Surah Ash-Shu'ara Allah Almighty says: When Allah's command was conveyed to him, Pharaoh said: Did we not take you under our protection as a child and raise you? Let him explain the answer to that; he would say this anyway, would he believe him? (?) you become one of the prophets. Did you not spend many years of your life among us? he says.

Pharaoh — Pharaoh's astrologers say to Pharaoh: This year a child will be born of the people of Israel and will topple you from your throne, they said. How did they know this? The astrologers. You tell me, how did they know? They may have gotten information from the jinn. They may have gotten information from the jinn. From the jinn — how do the jinn know the unseen?

Yes. The keys of the unseen are in Allah's hand.

Right. He gets information from the jinn, but how do the jinn know this? Until the Prophet (peace be upon him) came, the jinn, in the constellations in the sky, would sit and listen to the angels' conversations. They would come back with their conversations and tell them to the people they possessed. So those he calls astrologers are the ones who had jinn; they would take the information from there, from the angels. The jinn would pass it on to them. So that information back then came that way too. After the Prophet came into the world, the jinn could never again reach the place they used to climb to. Because Allah Almighty — there are twelve constellations in the sky.

At these constellations, the fireball we call the shihab star, the beam of flame, goes after whoever wants to go up there and listen, whoever wants to listen to the angels, and if it hits him, it kills him. It kills the jinn. They exist on a frequency. It scatters that frequency. Yes. We call it a shooting star. It is not a star shooting. So we have understood this part this far. Now we read this part next.

Pharaoh's astrologers say to Pharaoh: This year a child of the people of Israel will be born and topple you from your throne, they said. And Pharaoh would kill the boys born that year and spare the girls. Thereupon the mother of Moses (peace be upon him) brings Moses (peace be upon him) into the world. Fearing her child would be killed, she puts him in a chest and sets him on the Nile. And Allah Almighty tells this to Moses' mother in a dream. In a dream. Put your child in a basket and set it on the Nile, He says.

In fact this idea is told to the mother of Moses (peace be upon him) in her dream. And upon the dream she saw, the mother of Moses (peace be upon him) puts Moses (peace be upon him) in a chest and, by setting him on the Nile, carries out the dream she saw. Thereupon, by the will of Allah Almighty, the chest, in the garden of Pharaoh's palace, comes ashore. Even though his mother put him in the chest and set him on the Nile, she also tells her daughter: My daughter, follow your brother, see where he goes.

And the daughter follows the chest. She sees it come out in Pharaoh's garden.

Moses is taken up — according to one narration by Pharaoh's wife, according to another narration by his maidservants. That it was his wife is very likely. She asks Pharaoh, saying he will be of help to us later. And Pharaoh does not have him killed. Does not have him killed. In this situation, Moses will not suckle the milk of any of them.

His sister, who had followed him, comes and says to Pharaoh: I know someone, she says.

I can recommend her to you, she says.

Go and bring her, he says. She brings his mother. He starts to suckle his mother's milk. So again it is his mother who raises him. These are Allah's miracles. Beside his enemy. Yes. Having learned this part this far, we continue. Maybe I have not explained all of it here. I don't know. In fact this idea is told to the mother of Moses (peace be upon him) in her dream. And upon the dream she saw, the mother of Moses (peace be upon him) puts Moses (peace be upon him) in a chest and, by setting him on the River Nile, carries out the dream she saw. Thereupon, by the will of Allah Almighty, the chest, in the garden of Pharaoh's palace, comes ashore.

Pharaoh's wives, seeing this, take the child from the chest and bring him to Pharaoh. Pharaoh decides to raise Moses (peace be upon him) in the palace and wants to hire a wet nurse for the child. But Moses accepts the milk of no wet nurse. Thereupon his sister, who followed the chest on the River Nile, comes to the palace and says: Shall I recommend to you a wet nurse? Thereupon she recommends his mother. And Moses (peace be upon him) is reunited with his mother. Moses suckles his mother's milk and is raised by his mother in the palace. Moses (peace be upon him) grows up in Pharaoh's palace. This subtle working of the Lord is a miracle of Allah upon people.

So Pharaoh: Did we not take you as a child and raise you among us? Did you not spend many years of your life among us? Where do you come from, as the messenger of which Allah do you come to us? he says. The verses are probably well understood.
