Translation

(Moses) said; “When I did that, I was unaware (of the consequences).”

Tafsir

Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' denied Pharaoh's accusations and said, "My intention was not to kill him. I only separated the two of them as a favor to them. I only pushed the dying Copt. I did not know that he would trip and fall, hit his head on a stone and die of brain hemorrhage. I did not do it to kill the Copt.

These events are a manifestation of Allah (swt). Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' will do this work without sin and for good. However, Allah (swt) will make Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' a criminal and take him away from Pharaoh. After raising Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm', he will send him to Pharaoh as a messenger together with Hazrat Harun 'alaihis-salâm'. These things are known by Allah's foreknowledge, and when the time comes, these events are realized and put into action through causes. People prove what kind of a person they are by the deeds they commit with their desires and wishes.

What is said in the video

Moses said: I did that deed at that moment without knowing what its end would be, he says. Moses (peace be upon him), rejecting Pharaoh's accusations: My aim was not to kill him. I only separated the two of them, meaning it as a kindness to them. The Copt who died, I only (?). That as a result his foot would catch, he would fall, hit his head on a stone and die of a brain hemorrhage, I could not have known. I did not do this to kill the Copt, he said. These events are a subtle working of the Lord, of Allah Almighty. Moses (peace be upon him) would do this without sin and meaning it as a kindness.

But Allah Almighty would make Moses (peace be upon him) appear guilty and remove him from Pharaoh's side, and after raising Moses (peace be upon him), would send him to Pharaoh together with Aaron (peace be upon him) as a messenger. These things are known by Allah's eternal knowledge, and when the time comes, through causes these events emerge and come into effect. And people, through the deeds they have done according to their wishes and desires, what kind of people they are (?).
