Tafsir

Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' is shocked by the death of the Copt. Knowing that the punishment was retaliation, he preferred to go away from Pharaoh and leave the house of Pharaoh rather than go to Pharaoh and lose his life. Therefore, he presented his case to Pharaoh and said, "I was afraid that he would punish me for the death of the Copt and that he would not violate the law, so I fled from him.

Then my Lord gave me wisdom. He raised me and bestowed miracles upon me. He made me a Prophet and sent us to you as messengers, together with my brother Aaron, to announce the Truth to you and the people.
