Translation

“And this provision that you reproach me with is that you made the sons of Israel slaves.”

Tafsir

Hazrat Moses (peace be upon him) responds to Pharaoh's speeches one by one. Pharaoh says in the eighteenth and nineteenth verses: (When the command of Allah was communicated to him, Pharaoh) said, "Did we not take you into our care as a child and bring you up? Did you not spend many years of your life among us? Verse, 19- Finally you did that (evil) deed which you did. When he said, "You are an ungrateful person," he meant that he had done good to Musa 'alaihis-salâm' and bestowed blessings upon him. And he said, "Is it your blessing that you kill the male children of the Children of Israel and keep them in captivity and make them work as slaves?

What is said in the video

Surah Ash-Shu'ara, the 22nd verse: "That favour with which you reproach me is in fact that you have made the Children of Israel your slaves," he says. Moses answers Pharaoh's words one by one. In verses 18 and 19, Pharaoh says the following. When Allah's command was conveyed to him, Pharaoh said, verse 18: Did we not take you under our protection as a child and raise you? Did you not spend many years of your life among us? Verse 19: And in the end you did that evil deed of yours; you are an ingrate. By saying this, he wanted to express that he had done good to Moses (peace be upon him) and shown him favours.

In reply, Moses (peace be upon him) says that what you (?) as a favour is your killing the male children of the Children of Israel, keeping them in captivity and making them work as slaves.

"Is it making them work?" he says. Yes. I'm asking a question, mind you. Yes.
