(Moses) said, “Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors.”
Tafsir
Although Pharaoh rejected Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm', Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' continued to proclaim the Truth. O Pharaoh! Allah is He who is immortal and eternal. Although Allah is the Lord of the creatures, you and me, He is also the Lord of your ancestors. Allah is the Lord of all creation. Because there is no other God but Him.
What is said in the video
Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 26: Moses said: He is your Lord too, and the Lord of your earlier forefathers too. Let us add: He is our Lord too. What does it say? Moses said: He is your Lord too, and of your earlier forefathers the Lord too. That is the verse. And I say: He is our Lord too, the Lord of those who will come until the Day of Judgement too, and the Lord of the one who brought all this universe into being from nothing. He is the Lord of the worlds. Although Pharaoh calls Moses (peace be upon him) a liar, Moses (peace be upon him) continues to deliver the truth. O Pharaoh, Allah is the One who is deathless and everlasting.
Ve'l-evvelü ve'l-âhiru ve'z-zâhiru ve'l-bâtın. Although Allah is the Lord of the creatures, of you and me, He is also the Lord of your forefathers too. As I said a moment ago, here we connect the words. With what? O Pharaoh! Allah is deathless and everlasting. "Allah, the creatures" — this is the part we connect. Here in the verse. Although He is your Lord and my Lord too, He is also the Lord of your forefathers. Allah is the Lord of all creatures. Because there is no other god besides Him, he said.
Instead of saying here "there is no other god," he said "there is no other Lord." Rabb is the Creator. And that is what Ilah is, too. And what is Ilah? Allah. There is no god other than Allah who could create.
