Translation

Remember that Allah was promising to you one of the two groups (the destruction of the army of Quraish). And you desired to have the weaker (caravan) of them. However, Allah desired to manifest the truth and to cut off the roots of the infidels.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) had promised the believers that one of the two parties would be yours. The believers chose the easy option and wanted it to be theirs. Allah, the Knower of the unseen, willed that the Quraysh army should be eliminated through jihad. Because Allah intended that His words were true and that they would be fulfilled.

(But Allah wanted to realize the truth with His words) means: He did not program these worlds according to the desires and wishes of people. Allah programmed them with the truth in order to realize the truth, to spread the Religion of Islam on earth, to give life to the people who will come until the Day of Resurrection, to teach people what they do not know, and to shed light in front of people. Since the Quraysh army was an obstacle to these events, Allah had intended to remove it and to make the believers the means and cause of these events in order to realize the truth.

What is said in the video

Now, in the verse, they have rendered this part wrongly. We have corrected it. Surah Al-Anfal, verse 7.

Let's see what we say in verse 7 of Surah Al-Anfal. Here we have corrected it.

Remember when Allah promised you that one of the two parties, the caravan or the Quraysh army, would be yours.

And you wanted the weak one, the caravan, to be yours. But Allah wanted to realize the truth with His words and, by destroying the Quraysh army, to cut off the disbelievers to the last. Yes.

Now, the wrong part is here. Verses very close to each other. Close to each other. A person truly cannot easily get it right.

And now, without error, it goes like this. Remember when Allah promised you that of the two parties, the caravan or the Quraysh army, the caravan or the Quraysh army, one would be yours. That is, here: either strike the caravan or strike the army, it makes no difference for you. One of the two is yours. Whereas (?) Allah promised you the destruction of one of the two parties, the Quraysh army. Of the two parties, before going to Badr, to Badr, you wanted to strike Abu Sufyan's army, didn't you. Now, two parties: one is Abu Sufyan's caravan, the other the polytheist army. Whereas Allah Almighty promised the destruction of one of those two parties, the Quraysh army.

That is how Allah promises. Here, though, it says this. Remember when Allah promised you that of the two parties, the caravan or the Quraysh armies' army, one would be yours. And of course then the believers will say: if it is rendered this way, let us go too there and strike. Yes.

And you wanted the weak one, the caravan, to be yours. But Allah wanted to realize the truth with His words and, by destroying the Quraysh army, to cut off the disbelievers to the last. Now the first word and the last word contradict each other here. In the wrongly rendered verse. But now we continue. In our correct rendering they confirm each other. What does it say? Remember when Allah promised you the destruction of one of the two parties, the Quraysh army. And you wanted the weak one, the caravan, to be yours. But Allah wanted to realize the truth with His words and, by destroying the Quraysh army, to cut off the disbelievers to the last.

Yes.

In this case, Allah's promise is of course true. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) said that against the Quraysh army war would be waged, they set out toward Badr. Allah Almighty had promised the believers one of the two parties, that is, that one side would be yours. And the believers, choosing the easy one, wanted it to be theirs. But Allah, who knows the unseen, willed the removal of the Quraysh army through jihad. Because Allah willed that His words are true and that His words be fulfilled. But Allah wanted to realize the truth with His words. His will: He programmed these worlds according to people's wishes and desires, programmed, did not program.

Yes. To realize the truth and, by spreading the religion of Islam on earth, for the people coming until the Day of Judgment, in such a way that life (?), Allah Almighty programmed these worlds. Yes.

Well, to teach people what they do not know, to hold a light before people, He programmed it with the truth. And since the Quraysh army formed a (?) before these events, Allah had willed the removal of this army and, to realize the truth, to make the believers a means for these events.

The telling of a history. At that time, of course, the Prophet appears within the Quraysh tribe as a prophet. On one side the Jews, because no prophet had come from among them, stood against him. On another side the hypocrites stood against him. On another side the idolaters stood against him. Yes, in this case, for the Prophet, of course, to be able to (?) Islam firmly, foremost among these came the polytheist armies. If he destroyed the polytheist armies, what would open up? In this case, the strength of the Prophet (peace be upon him) would be discussed, and people would side with this strength.

People would see the truth and become Muslim. In this case Islam would spread. The main reason for this was, in the Quraysh army, the polytheist armies being removed.

Yes.

Allah Almighty's help to the Prophet (peace be upon him).
