This is because they went against Allah and Allah’s Messenger. Those who go against Allah and Allah’s Messenger should know that Allah is the One who has a severe punishment.
Tafsir
(This is because of their opposition to Allah and His Messenger); Allah (swt) revealed this verse in this way because the polytheists despised Islam, and prepared a large and numerically superior army to oppose Allah and His Messenger, not recognizing Allah and His Messenger, and relying on their weapons and superior numbers, they rebelled against Allah, and said that Allah does not exist and that the Prophet is a fabrication and a liar, so Allah manifested His presence in this way by His own presence and with the help of angels to Islam.
If Allah (swt) openly demonstrates His existence by being sovereign over mankind through such events, but people turn a blind eye and a deaf ear in order not to see, will not such people have their hearts sealed by Allah (swt)?
(Whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, know that Allah is severe in punishment). If you pay attention to this verse, when Allah (swt) speaks of a severe punishment, He means the punishment in the Hereafter. People can torment each other very severely, but at the end of the worldly life, they die, unable to endure the torment. The Hereafter is not like that. Since there is no more death there, and the torment is continuous, even if it is less than the torment of this world, one cannot tolerate it. This is what torment is, a torment that does not end. May Allah protect us all from such a fate!
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Anfal, verse 13. These things said, that is, what was said? My helping with angels, Allah Almighty. Strike their necks, strike their fingers, what He said; these things said, that's it. are because they opposed Allah and His Messenger. Whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger, let him know that Allah is severe in punishment.
These things said are (?) their opposing Allah and His Messenger.
Allah Almighty's verse, spoken by revelation in this way: because (?) looked down on Islam, prepared a crowded army far superior in number and opposed Allah and His Messenger, did not recognise Allah and His Messenger, and trusting in the weapons in their hands and their superiority in number rebelled against Allah, said there is no Allah and the prophet is a fabrication, a liar; for that, Allah's existence was manifested in this way, in person to Islam, with angels, with His help. Yes.
Although with so many events Allah Almighty openly shows His existence by continuing to rule over people, nevertheless, if a person makes his eyes blind and his ears deaf so as not to see, do such people not have their hearts sealed by Allah Almighty?
Of course, if in the face of so many events a person then deifies his nafs and (?) Allah says, and if he does so because he does not recognise the One who created him, they have their hearts sealed by Allah, and by leaving themselves subject to eternal punishment they take revenge on their own nafs. They take revenge on themselves. Yes. Whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger, let him know that Allah is severe in punishment. If one looks closely at this verse, Allah Almighty speaking of a severe punishment: it refers to the punishment in the Hereafter. People can inflict very severe torment on one another.
After all, it is the life of this world. Unable to bear the torment, they die. In the end the torment is over too. However much people torment one another in this world, in this world this torment comes to an end.
The Hereafter is not like this. Since there is no more death there, even if its punishment is small compared to worldly punishment, because it is lasting, a person cannot endure the punishment. That is punishment. A punishment that does not ease and does not end. It is punishment. May Allah Almighty protect us all from such an end, we said.
