If they had returned to the goodness of Allah, they would have heard. But even if (Allah) would make them hear, they would turn away and return.
Tafsir
With Allah (in Qalubelah), each soul wished to Allah (swt) with its own will, and Allah (swt) knew what each person would do as a result of their wishes, so He gave them characters that would fulfill their desires and wishes.
Those who knew Allah by recognizing Him recognized Him in the address (Elestu bi Rabbikum), and those who rebelled against Allah rebelled against Him in the address (Elestu bi Rabbikum). Allah (swt) has written their fate for them in accordance with their desires and has imprinted their nature on them. In this case, if people wanted good, they would hear good and run towards good because of the nature that Allah has imprinted on them. If they wanted evil, He gave them the characters to commit evil.
And those who will commit this evil, those who will rebel against Allah and His Messenger, because they were rebellious in the past, if Allah had seen in them a trait to know His Essence and return to Allah, then surely Allah would have worked in them their nature, their character, to know His Essence according to their desires, and they would have heard the truth. But because these people are rebellious and rebellious against Allah, they do not turn to Him and obey Him, even though He has made His Word heard by such people on earth, because they have the trait of rebellion and rebellion against Allah.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Anfal 23. That part we have corrected. Here it says: if Allah had seen any good in them, He would surely have made them hear. You see, here they tie everything to this world — Allah doesn't know. Along with the deeds people do in the world,
Allah Almighty looks at them, and in what they do, no good can be seen. Had He seen it, He would have made them hear. Had He seen it, He would have made them hear. Doesn't He make them hear? Now here they ascribe attributes to Allah. Doesn't Allah make them hear? The Holy Quran came as a mercy to the worlds. All people know the Holy Quran. They did not hear. Then this person would say: You created my mind deficient, I was at fault; in the sins I committed because of this fault of mine You did not show me the truth, You did not make me hear. After all, He would not call anyone to account over what You did not make them hear — so aren't there words here that contradict each other?
But the correct version is this: had they turned to Allah's good, they would have heard. Had they turned to good, they would surely have heard. Yet even though Allah makes them hear, they turn away and go back. Yes. How much difference there is between them. What does it say here?
If Allah had seen any good in them, He would surely have made them hear. But even if He had made them hear, even if He had made them hear, it says. So it seems He does not make them hear. Even if He had made them hear, they would still turn back (?). Whereas had they turned to Allah's good, they would have heard. Yet even though Allah makes them hear, they (?) and turn back. Because, in the secret of its not being heard, He will not call anyone to account. Yes. how beautifully the verses you can now (?), if Allah grants it, God willing; beautiful, beautiful, because Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes; no one can ascribe to Allah Almighty attributes. The questions all people would ask, Allah Almighty will have brought to light, and people will be left with no questions; this is Allah Almighty's attribute of being God. In this case a person, through the acts he himself brings about, on his own nafs will either take revenge or plunge his own nafs into pleasure and amusement. At Kalu Bela, every soul, by its own will, asked Allah Almighty for its wish.
And Allah Almighty, since He knows each person's wish and what they will do as a result of their wishes, has given them characters that will fulfill their desires and wishes. That is, according to the person's desires and wishes, whoever wanted what, desired what, wished to live what kind of life, accordingly Allah Almighty placed in him those characters. Now, those who know Allah by recognizing Him — before moving on to this paragraph, a question may come to our mind like this. What if I wished for something good, wished for a good life, and Allah Almighty placed bad characters in me — who knows, a person could say.
He could say this. I had asked You for good qualities, but You gave me bad characters. So I did bad deeds. What is my fault in this? He might say. Well, at the moment of death those realms will be shown to him. People's desires and wishes there will be shown to them. They will see better there what kind of person they are. He will say, I was like this, yes, this is what I was, with his own characters. That realm will be seen there. It says: when the soul reaches the throat, are you closer to him, or We with Our power? He: "Send me back once more, see how I will worship You." Because he sees the truth there.
Even if We sent you back not once but several more times, you would do the same thing again — according to the verse that says this, no one, as I said, will be able to say: who knows, You gave me bad characters. Yes, those characters have been placed in each according to everyone's desire and wish. And at the same time, since Allah is not unjust to His servants, since He is a sovereign abundant in pardon and forgiveness toward them, abundant in mercy, He has written everyone's wish for them as destiny. Yes. Those who know Allah by recognizing Him recognized Him at the address Elestü bi-Rabbiküm.
And those who rebel against Allah, at the address Elestü bi-Rabbiküm, rebelled and opposed Him.
And Allah Almighty, writing their destinies in the direction of these wishes, placed their natures in them. In this case, if man wanted good, with the natures Allah has worked into them, they hear the good and run to the good. If they wanted evil, He has given them characters that will do evil. They want that character because they want that realm; characters that will want that realm, that is, that way of life, are needed, so that with those characters he lives that realm. Those who will want this evil are the people who will rebel against Allah and His Messenger. Since they were rebels before too, had Allah Almighty seen in them a quality that would know His Self and turn to Allah, surely, according to these wishes of theirs, Allah would have worked their natures, that is, their characters, so as to know His Self, and with these, knowing Allah, they would have heard the truth. With those characters, with those qualities, they would hear the truth and turn to Allah.
But since these people are rebellious and defiant toward Allah, even if Allah had worked into them characters knowing His Self, even if He had worked in characters knowing His Self, since in that person's own nature there are traits of rebellion and defiance against Allah, this person would still not have turned to Allah and obeyed. Yes. Since Allah Almighty will not do this — that is, even if Allah had worked into them characters knowing His Self, then He knows that surely, in the person's own nature — since this time He left him alone with his own desire — since man has traits of rebellion and defiance against Allah, this person would still not have turned to Allah and obeyed.
And since Allah will not — using His own will over them to know His Self, removing that person's own will from him, by His own will — give them a character knowing His Self, He leaves everyone free in their own will. And if Allah Almighty had used His will in people by His own will, He would have abolished Hell and, without bringing any of them to the world, would have put everyone into Paradise (?). So in this case people, with their own traits, prove to themselves what kind of person they are, and in this case, in this hidden realm, that is, in a realm where our Lord is not seen, when people have proven themselves and go to the realm of the hereafter, to Allah Almighty they will have no word to say.
