Know that your belongings and children are a test for you. The great reward is with Allah.
Tafsir
The whole universe, the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, and the human beings and the jinn, are the creations of Allah. If a person inclines towards Allah's creatures, towards worldly wealth and his children and his relatives and friends, and forgets Allah, then his wealth and his children are a mischief for him.
People should know that when they move from this world to the Hereafter, they cannot take a single particle of their world with them. Worldly wealth and property, children and well-being are a test for people, they are temporary. The phenomena of good deeds and sins are objects created to receive.
If you fall into heedlessness and forget Allah for the sake of worldly goods, for the sake of your children and well-being, you will fall into fitnah. If you insert the love of Allah's creatures into the love of Allah, you will fall into delusions and mischief about Allah, and Allah forbid, you will not only pass into the Hereafter as a sinner, but you will also pass into the Hereafter without faith. As a matter of fact, many Muslims have turned away from Allah out of love for the world, love for their children and well-being, and when the love for Allah's creatures increased, the love for Allah decreased, and they fell into all kinds of plots and mischiefs about Islam, and gradually turned away from Islam and took their place on the side of the kuffar.
Children, property and possessions are a fitnah for man. If a person is not vigilant, he will fall prey to this fitnah and be cruel to his own soul.
(Know that the great reward is with Allah.) O people! Those who believe in Allah by saying Allah or those who are seen to believe! This is an inescapable truth that is unfolding before our eyes. All creation is dying. Allah, on the other hand, continues and proves His existence as the sovereign over mankind. So do not transgress against Allah's creatures by acting within the limits of Allah's commands. Do not expect reward from Allah's creatures. Do what you do for Allah and expect your reward from Allah. This is the greatest reward. This reward is with you in the Hereafter. The reward for this is paradise and also Allah's beauty.
What is said in the video
Your Wealth and Your Children Are a Trial (Fitna) for You. Know that your wealth and your children are a fitna for you. Your wealth and your children are a fitna for you. The great reward is with Allah. How does a person fall into fitna through his wealth? He plunges into pleasure, turns to gambling, drink, fornication; that becomes a fitna for him. As for children, today we see that people have had their children educated. Their child turned out a doctor, an engineer, and the father boasts of him. Whatever that ignorant child says, he too says: fine, my son, you know best, you do it, you handle it — and by adopting his son's un-Islamic way of life — un-Islamic, yet adopting his way of life — and consenting to it, does he not fall into fitna?
Today most of our people are like this. To fulfill that longing through the child, when they have their child educated, looking at him as a great man, consenting to everything he says, saying yes to the words of that child who is in ignorance, and taking their place at his side — those fathers and mothers today they too have fallen into that fitna. Then fight them until fitna is gone and religion is Allah's, He says. So do not fall into fitna. Yes, shall we not respect our children? We shall. How? If they speak the truth, we will support them. If they don't know, we will teach them. They will benefit from our experience.
From our experience; since they do not know the religion of Islam, to teach them the religion of Islam we are also obliged.
So, know that your wealth and your children are each a fitna for you. The great reward is with Allah. The whole universe, the heavens and the earth, and what is between the two, the races of humans and jinn, are what Allah has created. Man inclines toward what Allah has created; he turns to the world, to worldly wealth and his children, to relatives and kin. If he forgets Allah, then his wealth and children are a fitna for him. Take it.
Yes.
So man inclines toward what Allah has created. He turns to worldly wealth and his children, to relatives and kin. If he forgets Allah, then his wealth and children will have become a fitna for him. Man must know that from this world, upon passing to the hereafter, man cannot take even a speck of his world. Worldly wealth and property, children and family, are a test for people.
They are transient. They are things created for taking (?) and sin.
For worldly wealth, for children and family, one falls into heedlessness. If you forget Allah, you will have fallen into fitna. You bring the love of Allah's creations into the love of Allah. Yes.
He says: for worldly possessions, for children and family, one falls into heedlessness. If you forget Allah, you will have fallen into fitna. If you bring the love of Allah's creations into the love of Allah, you fall into suspicions about Allah and into fitna, so that — Allah protect us — just as a person passes to the hereafter as a sinner, passing to the hereafter without faith also comes about. Indeed, many Muslims, through love of the world and love of children and family, have drifted away from Allah; when love of Allah's creations grows in a person, love of Allah diminishes; then he falls into all kinds of tricks and whisperings about Islam, and, drifting from Islam step by step, has taken his place beside the unbelievers.
Yes. So children and wealth and property are a fitna for man. If man is not vigilant, he is caught up in this fitna and becomes a wrongdoer against his own self.
Know that the great reward is with Allah. O people! You who say 'Allah' and believe in Allah, or who seem to believe: this is an inescapable truth that appears before our eyes. All created beings die. Allah, however, continues His existence as ruler over people and proves it. So, toward Allah's creations, acting within Allah's commands, do not overstep the bounds. Do not expect a reward from Allah's creations. Do what you do for Allah and expect your reward from Allah. That is the greatest reward. This reward is with you in the hereafter. The return of this reward is Paradise and, in addition, Allah's Beauty.
Entering Paradise and, in addition, Allah's Beauty.
