Translation

However, while you were among them, punishment would not come onto them. And while they were asking for forgiveness, Allah would not punish them.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) sent Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) as a mercy to the worlds. In this respect, the places where he is are pure. Also, unless a people expels their Prophet from their midst, or they ask their Prophet for a miracle and Allah (swt) performs it, and the people who asked for the miracles still deny their Prophet and do not believe in Allah (swt) even after seeing the miracles, then the punishment will come upon them. Because, as in the case of a public trial, Allah will decide about them and destroy them. Like the tribe of Thamud, the tribe of Hud, the tribe of Salih, the tribe of Lot.

And He will not torment them while they seek forgiveness. For there may be among them those who are purified, who choose the religion of Islam and believe in Allah and His Messenger. Allah knows this unseen. Therefore, while they seek forgiveness from Allah, Allah is not destroying them.

What is said in the video

Yes, what does Allah Almighty say in verse 33? But Allah would not punish them while you are among them. And Allah will not punish them while they are seeking forgiveness. Because among them are those who will embrace Islam, there are those who will return to Allah's command. As long as those are among them, Allah will not punish them either. Why? Because they too are praying to Allah; just as Allah Almighty brings out those who believe in Allah from among the people He will destroy, since His custom in the past is His custom in the end too, those among them who say "Allah", or who will turn to Islam, He does not destroy along with them.

Here it says, "And while they seek forgiveness, Allah will not punish them," it says. Yes.

Allah Almighty sent the noble Muhammad (peace be upon him) to the worlds as a mercy. Therefore the places where he is are safe.

In no way does calamity come to the places where he is. Allah Almighty makes those lands safe. In our earlier lessons we said: Allah Almighty, those He loves, those believers — when He is about to send calamity on a land, He creates a cause and brings those He loves out of there.

After that He sends calamity on that land. Yes. So the places where the Messenger of Allah is are safe.

Also, unless a people drive their prophet out from among them, and when they ask their prophet for a miracle and Allah Almighty (?) this miracle, if the people who wanted to see the miracles, despite seeing these miracles, still deny their prophet and do not believe in Allah, then punishment comes upon them. It becomes a public case. For example, like the people of Salih. They said: if you are among the truthful, show us a miracle. And he says: here is a miracle for you. A yellow she-camel comes out of a rock. Do not kill it, he says. One day of the week is its day for drinking water. On that day do not encroach on its drinking day; and on your drinking day, it will not encroach on your day.

But even though Salih said this, they cut the camel's legs and kill it. So those who want to see a miracle from Allah Almighty and, once Allah Almighty shows the miracle, oppose that miracle, He destroys. This is Allah's custom.

As long as the Prophet (peace be upon him) is among us, there are no more destructions.

Yes.

Because, like a public case, Allah gives His verdict about them and destroys this people. Like the people of Thamud, the people of Hud, the people of Salih, the people of Lot.

And while they seek forgiveness, He is not one to punish them. Because among them there may emerge those who are purified, who, choosing the religion of Islam, believe in Allah and His Messenger. We say "may emerge". But in the verse it says: while they, from Allah, you see, seek forgiveness, while for their sins they seek pardon and forgiveness, He is not one to punish them, it says. So in this case, among them, within that people, these people who attain the quality of believers ask Allah for pardon and forgiveness and ask to be forgiven their sins, then because they are among them, He is not one to punish them either.

Allah knows this unseen. That is, Allah also knows those from among them who may become Muslims. And because Allah knows it, "We would not punish them anyway," He says. Therefore, while these seek forgiveness from Allah, Allah is not one to destroy them either.

Allah Almighty is the one who accepts repentance abundantly. Allah Almighty is At-Tawwab.

Yes.
