Translation

Their prayers in the House (Baytullah - Allah’s house) consisted of nothing but whistling and clapping. (Oh you who deny!) Now taste the punishment for the things you have been denying.

Tafsir

The prayers of the polytheists when they came to the Baytullah were clapping their hands and whistling. When the community of disbelievers used to come to the Baytullah to pray, they would strip naked, men and women, put their fingers together and put them to their mouths and whistle and clap their hands. Allah does not recommend immorality. They deny Allah and worship their own nafs, saying that they are praying to Allah, and because they like it, they satisfy their nafs with their own fabrications under the name of worship.

That is why Allah says to them, "Taste the torment now for what you used to deny". And what they deny is primarily Allah and His Messenger. It is the denial of the Sharia Laws sent by Allah (swt). By denying these Verses, they will live in torment in this worldly life without peace, and there will be a permanent torment for them in the Hereafter. Therefore Allah says to them, "Taste the torment". That is to say, they will not be saved from torment both in this world and in the Hereafter by disbelieving in Allah, and they will be subjected to the eternal torment of Hell.

What is said in the video

Yes, Surah Al-Anfal, verse 35: Their prayer at the House of Allah, too, is nothing but whistling and clapping. Pay attention to this verse. I'm drawing your attention to this. Their prayer at the House of Allah, too, is nothing but whistling and clapping. O disbelievers, now taste the punishment for what you used to deny. Hodja, when you say you'll draw attention here to (?), those polytheists would go stark naked, whistle and clap their hands. They had filled that house with idols. There they would circle around it. Whistling and clapping. And themselves stark naked. Now I'm drawing your attention to this.

At some funerals they carry the dead off with clapping. So what difference is there between them? Understand what kind of people these are. Understand what mindset they are in.

As long as these people are in this mindset, within their own ideologies, within their understanding, the love of homeland they cannot taste. They cannot taste the love of homeland, they do not taste it. For them, homeland is where their bellies are filled. "Well, can you show a verse, a hadith, that they cannot taste this love of homeland?" Yes. Of course I can.

"Love of homeland is part of faith," says the Prophet. Part of faith. The Muslim's homeland: the black soil kneaded with the blood of his ancestors, these lands, these lands kneaded with the blood of his ancestors are the Muslim's homeland.

That's why love of homeland is part of faith.

They stand up for their ancestors.

They won't let these clean, pure lands be trampled under the boots of the filthy.

But the homeland of non-Muslims is the places where their bellies are filled. Wherever their bellies are filled, that's their homeland. So in this respect, because understanding and mindset are so different, how much they can stand up for this homeland, and those who appear to be the intellectuals of this homeland, and what this homeland has suffered at their hands (?), we see. We see it. How beautiful the verses are. The verses wake us up. To those who send off their dead with clapping and whistling, how beautifully the verses give an answer. Wake up. No one explains the verses to you. They always tell stories.

"Oh, so-and-so did this, and that one did that." "So-and-so did it like this, and this one did it like that." Well, he does. "Why did he do it? No, I don't believe that, he did it like this." "No, this is right, he did it like that." Come on, explain the verses! Look, when you explain the verses, people realize: so people like these are like this. So by telling us stories, they covered the verses of the Quran with ashes. And now these ashes, the ashes over this fire, we blow away like a storm. We are trying to bring out the fire. We are trying to bring out the truth. Yes.

Let's read the verse once more. Their prayer at the House of Allah, too, is nothing but whistling and clapping. O disbelievers! Now taste the punishment for what you used to deny. The prayers the polytheists made when coming to the House of Allah were clapping and whistling. When the community of disbelievers came to the House of Allah and wanted to pray, women and men would strip stark naked, interlock their fingers, put them to their mouths, whistle and clap their hands. Shameless. Allah does not enjoin indecency.

Saying "we pray to Allah" while denying Allah, they worshipped their own nafs; because they liked it, with what they themselves had invented, under the name of worship, they were satisfying their nafs. They are satisfying their own nafs. They have stubbornly built up their nafs.

Yes. That is why Allah Almighty says to them: "Now taste the punishment for what you used to deny." What they denied is, above all, Allah and His Messenger. It is the denial of the religious rulings Allah Almighty sent. By denying these verses, they both live restless in this worldly life in torment, and in the hereafter there is an everlasting punishment for them. That is why Allah Almighty says to them: taste the punishment. That is, both in this world and by passing to the hereafter denying Allah, they will not escape punishment and will be met with the eternal punishment of hell, Allah Almighty declares.
