Translation

Remember that (in the battle of Badr) you were on the close side of the valley (to the side of Medina). And they were to the far side (to the side of Makkah). And the caravan was far below you (on the seashore). If you had made an agreement (for war), you would have gone into dispute about the time. But Allah made (so,) so that Allah’s necessary order came true, so that destruction came upon the destroyed with clear proof, and so that life came upon the living with clear proof. And verily, Allah is Samee (All-Hearing) and Aleem (All-Knowing).

Tafsir

Allah (swt) informs us of the events of the battle of Badr with His verse. You were on the near side of the valley, that is, on the side of Madinah Munawwarah. The enemy army was on the far side of the valley. That is, they were on the side close to Mecca. Abu Sufyan's caravan was on the seashore, three miles from Badr.

If you had agreed to war, you would have argued about the place and the time. You would have disagreed about the preparation of troops and the choice of a suitable place for both sides. But the meaning here (Allah's fulfillment of the necessary command) is that since He has programmed all the worlds with a program, if the course of these worlds had been left to the will of human beings, this program would not have been carried out and everything would have been in disarray and chaos. In this respect, Allah's intention was to clear the way for Islam by eliminating the kufr army. He wanted to spread His justice and His commandment on the earth to give life to people. In this respect, it is for Allah to fulfill the necessary command and to show the existence of Allah to the people openly, and for those who disbelieve to perish with a clear eye, and for those who live to live with a clear proof, and for those who believe to become more attached to Allah by seeing Allah's might and power, and for those who do not believe to increase their disbelief and hatred, and for every soul to be responsible for what it has done, by completing its covenant and passing on to the Hereafter.

For Allah is the All-Hearing and All-Knowing. Allah, the Creator of all these created worlds, has written the destinies of the people He has created in accordance with their own will, by binding their wills to His will. In this case, Allah, who knows what people, those who will come until the Day of Resurrection, will do, where and when, is surely the One who knows with truth. And the One who hears with truth is also the One who sees with truth.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Anfal, verse 42: Remember that at the Battle of Badr you were on the near side of the valley, toward Medina. And they were on the far side, toward Mecca. And the caravan was below you, on the seashore. (?) He sees, He knows, I mean, He describes it. On the seashore. Yes.

That is, by seashore He means

the shore of that ocean.

Had you agreed to fight, you would have fallen into dispute about the appointed time, He says. Had you agreed to fight. But Allah — to carry out the necessary command, so that whoever perished would perish after seeing a clear proof with his eyes, and whoever lived would live by a clear proof — did it this way. For Allah truly hears and knows.

Everything is programmed.

So that it would be seen with the eyes that they would perish by a clear proof, so as to keep His religion alive until the Day of Judgment, clearing its path, and standing before His religion like (?), to remove those commanders of the Meccan polytheists, He did it this way, He says. That caravan and (?). Meanwhile, in your consultation, however much you were inclined toward the caravan, look, Allah had given His command.

There would be war with the Meccan polytheists, and their leaders would be removed. Allah Almighty tells of the events of the Battle of Badr in the verse. You were on the near side of the valley, that is, on the side of Medina al-Munawwara. The enemy army was on the far side of the valley. That is, they were on the side close to Mecca al-Mukarrama. And Abu Sufyan's caravan was on the side of the seashore located 3 miles from Badr.

Yes. Had you tried to make an agreement for war, about the place and about the time you would have argued. About the preparation of the units and the choice of a suitable place for both sides you would have fallen into dispute. But "that Allah might carry out the necessary command" — from here the meaning: since all the worlds were created with a program, if the course of these worlds had been left to people's own wills, this program would not run, and everything would be upside down, in total chaos. Therefore Allah's will was, by removing the army of the unbelievers, to open the way for Islam.

To spread across the earth His justice and His command, which grant people life. Therefore — that Allah might carry out the necessary command and show Allah's existence openly to people, help with angels; that those who went as unbelievers perish with an open eye, that is, seeing; there that open eye — that is, even if it is the openness of kashf, even if with these eyes — their perishing there shown to you; that of those who live, each lives by a clear proof; that those who believe, seeing Allah's might and power, become more bound to Allah, while those who do not believe increase their kufr and (?), live on, complete their covenant and pass on to the hereafter, so that every soul is held responsible for what it did.

What a beautiful program. What a beautiful world.

A very beautiful world. If you are with Allah, it is truly a very beautiful world. If you step outside Him, it is a very restless world. Fear, panic, anxiety, hunger, stinginess, misery — all in a person's heart. Each in the form of (?), they drag that person into despair. If you live outside of Allah.

So peace is in Islam. If you are with Allah, if you put your trust in Him, this hand (?),

you hold fast to (?), and leave the decree to Allah, you find peace. Yes. For Allah is the One who truly hears and knows. Allah, who created all these created worlds, binding the wishes of people, within their own wills, to their own wishes, for His creatures wrote their destinies in line with their own desires. In this case, Allah, who knows where and when all the people to come until the Day of Judgment will do what, is surely the One who truly knows. And the One who truly hears, and at the same time the One who truly sees. Yes.
