Then, the hypocrites and those with a sickness in their hearts said (about you); “They were deceived by their religion.” However, those who depend on Allah should know that Allah is Azeez (Exalted) and Hakeem (All-Wise). (Allah will make those, who trust in Allah, victorious; not those with the numbers or equipment.)
Tafsir
The hypocrites, the enemies of Allah, those who had misconceptions about Islam, said of Muslims that they were deceived by their religion. In other words, the idol worship of the polytheists became right for them, and those who turned away from idols and relied on and believed in Allah, the Owner of the universe, became false. The disbelievers saw the Muslims as deceived and deluded. However, it is they themselves who are deceived and deceived. Because the nafs and the devil lured them to the world and made Allah's creations pleasing to them. He drove them away from Allah and led them to destruction in this world and the Hereafter. And these are they who have been deceived.
But whoever relies on Allah, know that Allah is the absolute victor. As the Creator, Allah has created His creatures under His power and might. He has not created any of His creatures outside His power. Therefore, whoever relies on and obeys Allah, the Owner of the universe, should know that Allah is the absolute victor. He is the owner of wisdom. Allah knows why you do what you do.
Whoever trusts in Allah and endures and perseveres and is patient, it is Allah and His followers who will prevail. It is not the numerical superiority of the armies of the people and the superiority of their equipment. Allah is able to destroy their numbers and their equipment with a sudden calamity. In this way, their efforts and efforts are suddenly exhausted and they become frustrated.
So O you who believe! Submit yourselves to Allah and His Messenger, do not deviate from what they say, and be steadfast and patient so that you may attain salvation and victory.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Anfal, verse 49: At that time the hypocrites and those in whose hearts there is sickness. Who are these with sickness in their hearts? Non-Muslims. Those who turn their backs on Allah. Those who do not recognize Him as god. were saying of you: their religion has deceived these people.
That is, of the Muslims: their religion has deceived them.
Now, nearly every verse has its counterpart. For example, when he says their religion has deceived them, the believer acts as a mirror for the one facing him; he has been deceived by false idols and does not know it. So he sees himself in Islam as the same, and his own deception he pins on Islam, and what does he say? Their religion has deceived them. Yes, yet whoever relies on Allah, let him know that Allah is absolutely victorious. That is, here Allah Almighty says this: whoever relies on Allah, that is, whoever knows Him as god, whoever trusts in Him, Allah is absolutely victorious, He says.
Yes, that is, whoever is with Me also prevails, He says. He is not wronged. As we said in the last lesson too, however many afflictions my Lord gave me, I never complained. Allah is witness. I never complained. And I always said, my Lord does not lay on our backs what we cannot bear. We are all in a test in the life of this world. Let us be among those who pass the test best, inshallah, I said. That is, I never complained. Even while saying this, I (?). But as I said in other lessons, I was never wretched either. And I was always (?). This is thanks to my Lord.
It is He who makes the one who trusts Him superior and victorious. Look how beautiful the verse is. The one who makes whoever trusts Him superior and victorious is He. People always, not through reason, but through the experiences they have lived themselves, through a lifetime of adventure lived with their Lord, trusting Him, and through their trust in Allah Almighty — with those people Allah Almighty says: I become the foot that walks, the hand that holds, the eye that sees, the ear that hears, the tongue that speaks. What does this mean? It means: I inspire his heart; when he speaks, it is I who speak, He says.
So I become the foot that walks, the tongue that speaks, the eye that sees, the ear that hears, He says. One must know the verses well.
So whoever is with Allah prevails. It is not the number of armies or superior equipment, He says. Yes, Allah brings about what He wills, in the way He wills, His purpose.
If the great number of armies counted, at Badr, the Meccan polytheists, before the battle had even begun, with cries of victory drank and made merry, shouting as if they had already won; with Allah Almighty's help to the armies of Islam, that joy and cheering are buried (?) as a wound by Allah Almighty. They are defeated, and their leaders also croak there.
For people, we say "died" — for Muslims. For Muslims, among people, for Muslims we say "died". For the others, we say "croaked". Now people say "died" for unbelievers too. Because Allah Almighty says of them: they are like four-legged creatures roaming the earth. In line with this verse, one does not say animals "died", one says they "croaked". So because they too belong to the class of animals, in their ways, when they too depart from this world, they go by croaking.
People have supposedly made these words more polite. To people, these are human too. Isn't it a sin to call them that, he says. Yet he is denying the verse. He denies the verse saying they are like four-legged creatures roaming the earth. Then don't you become a kafir in Allah's sight by denying?
Perhaps I told you the other day, I don't know,
while praying, someone is inviting us. He is now inviting us, saying "while praying" too. He had a talk on Kanal 52. He was going to reveal the truths; a member of a party, the provincial chairman.
Someone we love very much too, but in his prayer, his supplication, his ablution.
While praying, exactly like this, to his heart they convey inspirations.
Rather than serving the impudent, those who do not know themselves, serving them, serving them with a load of sin, living among them like a hero, being a hero in their eyes, and on passing to the hereafter going to Allah with a load of sin, he says, rather than going to Allah with a load of sin, living like ordinary folk among people, living Islam like ordinary folk among people, and going into Allah's presence with a load of rewards is more virtuous, they say.
Look at the words, look at the words. The words — this is inspiration. What are they saying? Rather than living heroically among the impudent, those who do not know themselves, appearing a hero in their eyes and going to the hereafter with a load of sin, it is more virtuous to live, like ordinary folk, Islam and to go before Allah with a load of rewards, he says. I haven't been able to tell him this yet; I will. So then, knowing the truth, being in the right, not being carried away by the feelings of the ego, like pride, like glory, like fame, like selfhood, like worldly desire, keeping away from such things, ignoring Satan's temptation, the taghut over you, the two-legged taghut — disregarding his despotism against you, carrying out Allah's command means having a great rank in Allah's sight.
O man, you will depart from this world. No living being is everlasting in this world. According to the verse where He says every soul shall taste death and in the end your return is to Me, (?) on the Day of Judgment, at the supreme court, before Allah Almighty, the Judge of judges, we will be called to account. Do nothing in this world that you cannot give account for. Yes.
So if a person is with Allah, since Allah is absolutely victorious, he is absolutely victorious. He too says he prevails. With Me. What does He say? Allah is absolutely victorious. He is All-Wise. It is He who makes the one who trusts Him superior and victorious. It is not the number of armies or superior equipment, He says. Yes.
The hypocrites, the enemies of Allah, those in doubt about Islam, said of the Muslims: their religion has fooled these people. Their religion, their religion has fooled them.
A person's mind, his own, a needle's (?) — a world the size of a needle's eye, a ground of that size, in his imagination he widens it as wide as the world. And inside that hole, that tiny world of his, the size of a pinhead, he imagines as wide as the world, and if he tries to go on living inside that world, of course that person's thinking, that person's mind and thought, inside that imagination the size of a pinhead — just think about it now.
The words of those unbelievers, those who do not know themselves: their religion has deceived them.
What is your religion? What is religion? Do you know religion? The religion I know: Allah, besides whom there is no god — look, allow me, I'm defining religion. Allah, besides whom there is no god — the Sharia rulings He has shown people, the verses, that is what religion is. Religion. Religion. That is, what Allah has commanded us. That is, the word of Him besides whom there is no god, the absolute power who created us, the Owner of the worlds — His word. That is religion. The others, the others are not religion. A word equal to religion you cannot find. If you find a word equal to religion, Allah, God forbid, would then have a partner, that is, there would be another god.
and that god would have a law of its own; for Allah Almighty — if there were a god other than Allah, each would take what he created, and the other what he created, and all would be drowned in corruption. So when we say religion: the absolutely victorious and absolute power, the absolute Owner of the worlds, who created these worlds from nothing — our Lord making known His command to man, whom He created (?), whom He made honoured above the worlds — that is religion. The others? The others are their ideologies. Their own ideologies. Fabrications of their own understanding. Not religion. Not religion.
So: Inne'd-dîne inda'llâhi'l-İslâm — the religion with Allah is Islam, He says. It is Islam. What does this mean? It means there is no religion other than Islam. Right after that He says so anyway. Whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, that religion will never benefit him. So if that were a religion, its owner too would protect that religion,
defend it, and take those who are with it to himself. So according to the verse Inne'd-dîne inda'llâhi'l-İslâm, since there is no religion other than Islam, those are their own ideologies. So no one can say "interfaith dialogue". And if you do say it, you become a kafir. If you say it knowingly, you become a kafir. There is no such thing as interfaith dialogue. Only between the religion of Islam and ideologies can dialogue be established.
What was it? Between the religion of Islam and people's own ideologies dialogue can be established. That is, one can understand each other, talk, talk with each other. But you cannot say interfaith dialogue. Yes. I suppose these parts are understood. Inshallah.
Just as Allah Almighty turns His verse this way and that,
with a mosquito and something bigger, He says — according to His verse where He says We never cease giving parables — and explains His word to everyone from the most ignorant to the most learned, then we too, when its turn comes, although we explain many verses in many ways, turn them this way and that, and explain them with examples, from various angles, so that people understand better, to people. Yes.
So the hypocrites, the enemies of Allah, those who are in doubts about Islam, said of the Muslims: their religion has fooled these people. There's no end to talking about this part. Truly, no end. You could talk and talk about these people. about what they made with their own hands, with their senselessness, about their worshipping them, that people will come back as rats after death, that they feed those rats by hand, that monkeys are their gods and they serve monkeys. Oh, these people have forgotten their humanity, their selfhood; as our Lord says, truly, in their ways they are lower than animals, more astray, as He says — in that state we watch the lives of these people.
And when these people speak, should their speech be listened to? These are (?), sleepwalking people. Man, created most honoured — the one created as an animal, created as an animal yet knowing its duty, created for a duty, and that (?) its duty — if man is more astray in his ways than that animal, and does not know his place as one created honoured, and turns his back on Allah, does he not become lower even than the animal?
At least the animal uses its mind; it does its duty as far as the mind given to it allows. And man — what does Allah Almighty say? Do you not use your minds at all? Do you not reflect at all? So Allah Almighty, who created man honoured above the worlds, gives man a fine mind, and with this mind man can grasp what is right and what is crooked. Yes.
I was going to talk here, you know, there is a lot. Let us pass over this. That is, the polytheists' idol worship being, in their view, the truth, those who turned away from idols and relied on and believed in Allah, the Owner of the universe, were in the position of falsehood. The unbelievers saw the Muslims as fooled and deceived. Yet it is they themselves who are deceived and fooled.
Those who do not use their minds and act by the feelings of the ego, taking Satan as their guide — by Satan's trickery, his temptation, his whispering, the gilded words pleasing to the ego, that poor man whom Satan has deceived says to Islam, to the one who is with Allah: their religion has deceived these people. Oh, poor man, oh. Yes.
Because the ego and Satan drew them to the world and made what Allah created look attractive to them. Man saw the world, was deceived by the world, envied it like the flower of the zaqqum tree blooming in a swamp. trying to reach that flower, he sank deeper and deeper, and that swamp he took for life with his world of fantasy. In this state, in that swamp, in the illusion that he is living, the anxiety in his heart, his stress, his depressions, his being false and scattered, numbing himself in that swamp with the drink Allah has forbidden, escaping those stresses a little, they think themselves living in that swamp — wretched people.
Wretched people. Yes, by distancing them from Allah, it dragged their world and hereafter into ruin. These are the ones who are deceived.
Yet whoever relies on Allah, let him know that Allah is absolutely victorious. Allah, as the Creator, who brings into being from nothing, has created what He created under His power and might. He created nothing outside His power. Therefore, even if mankind and the jinn gathered, they could do Allah no harm. Therefore, whoever relies on Allah, the Owner of the universe, and obeys, let him know that the absolute victor is Allah. He is All-Wise. Allah knows what He does and why, and that person, with Him, is triumphant and victorious. Whoever trusts and relies on Allah, stands firm, and is patient — the victors will be Allah and His followers.
Not the numerically superior armies of people or superior equipment. In an instant, with a disaster, Allah can take their numbers and the equipment in their homes and wipe them out. Thus their striving and toil, in an instant, come to an end and they are ruined. For example, for example,
now Allah Almighty created the universe with knowledge.
Yes. Allah Almighty created this universe with knowledge. It will end with knowledge. With knowledge. For example, I said, the states that appear as the world's advanced states, as its forward outposts, those who launch satellites into the heavens, who, by satellite, strike any point of the world as they wish, who strike from where they sit — in this situation they look powerful, they appear so. Powerful.
These, the time will come, will be ruined. They will end in an instant. How will they end, Hodja? How will they end? As we always say,
the ozone layer in the heavens being pierced, the magnet at the world's north pole being erased, the world's rotation around its own axis slowing within seconds.
What does that have to do with it? Look what it has to do with it.
Today, by magnetism, compasses point to the north pole; one end points south. Today with radios, telephones over frequencies, via satellites, one talks with someone anywhere in the world. You launch a missile, you program it, and a point anywhere in the world you strike. The time will come when, as the world's rotation around its axis slows, the North Pole's magnetism will also decrease. With this loss of magnetism, today's satellites and televisions will not work.
They will fall silent. In that case all their knowledge and efforts will come to an end. Yes.
We said Allah Almighty created the universe with knowledge, and it will end with knowledge.
So our Lord, with His verses, warns people.
No one is everlasting in this world.
Everyone in this world is a traveller, a wayfarer. So the traveller must know his journey. If he cannot go prepared to where he is going, he will end up like a bankrupt merchant. So the traveller must reckon well where he is going and go there prepared, so that he does not suffer there.
Yes, let us read that paragraph once more. Yet whoever relies on Allah, let him know that Allah is absolutely victorious. Allah, as the Creator, has created what He created under His power and might. He created nothing outside His power. Therefore, even if mankind and the jinn gathered, they could do Allah no harm. Therefore, whoever relies on Allah, the Owner of the universe, and obeys, let him know that the absolute victor is Allah. He is All-Wise. Allah knows what He does and why. Whoever trusts and relies on Allah, stands firm, and is patient — the victors will be Allah and His followers. Not the numerically superior armies of people or superior equipment.
In an instant, with a disaster, Allah can wipe out their numbers and the equipment in their hands — He is able. Thus their striving and toil end in an instant and they are ruined. As we explained. So, O you who believe, submit yourselves to Allah and His Messenger. Yes. I brought it in at just the right time.
So, O you who believe, submit yourselves to Allah and His Messenger. Do not go beyond what they say. Be steadfast and patient, so that you attain salvation and victory. Apart from that, there is neither salvation nor victory.
