Translation

If you could see the angels when they were taking the lives of the infidels, hitting them in their faces and their backs, saying; “Taste the burning punishment of the hell”.

Tafsir

In the battle of Badr, when the polytheists fought against the Islamic army, the angels struck the polytheists on their faces and backs and took their lives because they had disobeyed Allah and His Messenger, and when the polytheists realized the truth and realized that they were destined for eternal hell, they lost their opportunities in this world, You should see the terrified people when they return to the bewildered state, forgetting the blows that the angels have dealt to them, in addition to the agony they will suffer, and their desire to return to the life of this world, and their plea to obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah (swt) says in His verse: "If We send the disbelievers back not once but several times, they will still do the same deed".

Because the disbelievers have programmed their own desires and wishes to be rebellious against Allah according to the covenant they made with Allah (at Qalubala). Just as they did not obey Allah and His Messenger when they came to this world and were rebellious, so when they see the torment in the Hereafter, they deceive themselves by coming back to this world and telling themselves to obey Allah and His Messenger. If you take a shot on a video tape, no matter which video you put it on, you will always see the same shot. According to their desires and wishes, their own character is destined for them. In this respect, if they were to come back to this world not once but several more times, they would still commit the same deed.

What is said in the video

Al-Anfal Surah, we have come to verse 50. The angels, striking their faces and backs and saying, Taste the burning punishment of Hell — if only you could see them as they take the souls of those unbelievers, He says. Look what a beautiful verse has come now to (?). What a beautiful verse.

Striking the faces and backs of those unbelievers, yes.

The angels, striking their faces and backs and saying, Taste the burning punishment of Hell, as they take the souls of those unbelievers — if only you could see them, He says. If only you could see their state.

At the Battle of Badr, in the polytheists' battle with the army of Islam, as the angels, striking the polytheists' faces and backs, take their souls because they opposed Allah and His Messenger, when the polytheists in that moment saw the truth and understood that they had become subject to eternal Hell, when, as the chances of worldly life slipped from their hands, they turned into terrified, bewildered people, forgetting the blows the angels dealt them beside the torment they would suffer, that they are filled with longing to return to worldly life — their pleading that they will obey Allah and His Messenger, if only you could see it, He says.

their pleading. What does it say? My Lord, send me back once more. Just see how I will worship. Even if We sent you back not once but several times more, you would do the same thing again, He says. Yes.

In every part, in His verse, Allah Almighty says: Even if We sent the unbelievers back not once, but several times more, they would do the same thing again.

Yes, even if We sent the unbelievers back, He says, not once but several times, they would do the same thing again, He says. Because the unbelievers, according to the covenants they gave Allah at Qalu Bala, according to their own desire and wishes, as rebels against Allah, have had themselves programmed. Here in our text we left a sentence incomplete; we'll correct it anyway. What are we saying? "Because the unbelievers", it says. Whereas we will say: all people at Qalu Bala, all people, in proportion to the covenants they gave Allah Almighty at Qalu Bala — the unbelievers gave their covenants as rebels against Allah, we will say; that is the correct version here. Yes, we will write it, we'll write all of these, inshallah.

But the situation is more or less clear. Because the unbelievers, according to the covenants they gave Allah at Qalu Bala, according to their own desires and wishes, as rebels against Allah, have had themselves programmed. When we say this, a question like this may come to mind here. Didn't the Muslims also have themselves programmed in proportion to their own covenants? so, to remove that question, because people, we will say, people — let's correct that here now. Yes. People. Yes. This "unbelievers", let's delete it. People, according to the covenants they gave Allah at Qalu Bala, according to the covenants, according to their own desires and wishes, against Allah, against Allah — here we will now say "the unbelievers".

Yes, the unbelievers have had themselves programmed as rebels. Now the sentence sits right. What are we saying? Because people, according to the covenants they gave Allah at Qalu Bala, according to their own desires and wishes, against Allah — the unbelievers as rebels have had themselves programmed. Yes, now the sentence sits right. Yes. Just as, when they came into worldly life, they did not obey Allah and His Messenger and became rebels, so on passing into the hereafter, when they see the punishment there, their saying they would come back to worldly life and obey Allah and His Messenger is deceiving themselves.

Because they are not going to change their destiny. If you onto a video tape make a recording, whichever video player you put it in, you always see the same recording. These too, according to their desires and wishes, have had their own characters written as their destiny. Therefore, even if they came to worldly life not once but several more times, they would do the same thing again.
