Translation

This is because Allah does not change the blessings Allah has given to them unless they change that which they have with them (in terms of good manners). Verily, Allah is Samee (All-Hearing) and Aleem (All-Knowing).

Tafsir

Allah grants people what they deserve. For Allah is the Possessor of justice. If a nation obeys Allah, does not deviate from His commands, fears Allah, and continues in worship and piety, Allah will increase His blessings upon them and will not withhold His mercy from them. According to the verse in which Allah says, "Whoever is as faithful to His promise as Allah is faithful to His promise", Allah fulfills His promise and does not inflict calamity or oppression on these nations. Except for the calamities that Allah (swt) gives to mankind as a witness against Him and as a test.

Until this nation turns away from the path of Allah and becomes spoiled in the face of the abundant blessings that Allah has bestowed upon it, and becomes disobedient to Allah and His Messenger, and oversteps the bounds of decency and morality by indulging in egoistic and satanic feelings, and becomes silent in its morals, then Allah will change against them. Because what everyone earns is the reward of his two hands, and Allah is the Owner of justice.

(Indeed Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing) means that He is aware of the state of all creation, that He is not ignorant of what people do, that He even knows what is in their hearts, that He knows what is hidden in the farthest corners of their hearts, that is, what they are destined to experience, according to the verse in which He says, "He knows the secrets of the hearts". Accordingly, it is not possible for anyone to deceive Allah. Nor can he humble Allah by justifying his evil deeds to himself. It only increases its cruelty towards its own soul.

So when Allah says: "Verily Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing", He means: O mankind! He is saying, "I am aware of your every situation and I am aware of your every situation, so fear Me and obey Me.

What is said in the video

He has written the same thing. Surah Al-Anfal, verse 53: This is — a nation, it says. This is — a nation. This is — a nation: until they change the good morals and virtues within them, it is because Allah does not change the blessing He gave them. Truly, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

In this whole universe, its beings — the beings in the universe He created and gives provision to — Allah Almighty created people honoured above the worlds. And He made people those whom He addresses. In this case, if man, toward Allah Almighty, with his own understanding, continues his duty as best he can in obedience to his Lord, Allah Almighty never changes the provision or those blessings He gave him. But when man is ungrateful for the blessings Allah gave, turns his back, plunges into the amusement of worldly life, Satan's temptation pleases his ego, and deifying his ego he turns his back on Allah, then Allah Almighty surrounds them slowly from unknown directions.

In this case, if he goes even further, like the other peoples, He destroys them. Because the Prophet came as a mercy to the worlds, destruction was lifted; in this case Allah Almighty, to those people, His afflictions (?), afflictions. So if man is deceived by this fleeting world, is ungrateful for the blessings Allah gave, falls short in worship of Allah, eats and drinks of His blessings yet turns his back, then Allah Almighty both seizes him in this world — as the peace leaves his heart, with unrest people carry on their lives in stress. And also in the hereafter a punishment is prepared for him.

Where He says, what an evil destination it is — that is, in that Hell, he will have prepared his place. May Allah protect.

Whatever people are worthy of, Allah grants them that. That is, whatever a person's desire and wish is — since his desire and wish, his intent, is his own destiny — in his life that person will desire those wishes. And Allah Almighty, throughout this universe, according to the desires and wishes of His creatures, creates causes. Within those causes, through their actual deeds, people earn reward and sin. The partial will is in man's own hands. For the good deeds and sins man has committed, what his two hands have earned, he will be called to account. Allah Almighty does not remove that person's will and use His own will over that person, taking whom He wills to Paradise and whom He wills to Hell.

Yes. Allah Almighty's mercy in the universe is for everyone. For everyone. He never discriminates among His servants. Because His mercy in the universe is for everyone. He rules on earth with justice. But in the hereafter, only for the believer. Because the believer submitted to His command, feared Allah greatly, and loved Allah, respected Him, was not ungrateful for His blessings, and, thinking of the day he will come before his Lord in the hereafter, within this fleeting time of the world he spent his life mindful of the account he will give Allah Almighty — he tried. So Allah Almighty receives them with a fine (?).

Yes. Whatever people are worthy of, Allah grants them that. Because Allah is the Owner of justice. A nation that obeys Allah, does not go beyond His commands, fears Allah, continues in obedience and worship — Allah increases His blessings upon them. He does not withhold His mercy from them. Who is truer to his promise than Allah, it says. No being can be as true to its promise as Allah. Why, Hodja? Couldn't Allah, then, create one? Allah Almighty, who is free of such deficient attributes — can a deficiency not be conceived of Him? None at all? That is, a being that keeps loyal to its word, He couldn't create?

One might think this way. But Allah Almighty did not create a being equal to His Self.

He created man, and man's mind too, deficient. People belong to the class of the forgetful. So he gives his promise and forgets. Or since he knows nothing of the future, since the keys of the unseen are in Allah's hand, Allah, in His given word, with faithfulness, that observance too — because the worlds He has programmed; there is not a single living being until the Day of Judgment, He says, of which We would not know what it will not do. So since Allah Almighty did not create a being equal to His Self, since He created people in helplessness — well, why did He create them, Hodja? If not, then He would have created a being equal to His Self.

People will make mistakes, mistakes; with their mistakes, knowingly — not continually — unknowingly, and even if knowingly, they will know their helplessness and ask Allah Almighty for pardon and forgiveness. That will fit Allah Almighty's purpose in creating. But if man makes mistakes, sides with his ego, and looks down on the people facing him; if he sees his own existence as, well, above everything — then a painful punishment is prepared for such people. In this state such people also show disobedience toward Allah Almighty, well. They do not listen to Allah's command either. So, amid these blessings Allah Almighty gave them, Allah Almighty surrounds them slowly.

And then you see they are in a real bind. Or afflictions have started raining on them. Or they have started struggling with their lives and wealth. Yes. Well, Hodja, those who obey Allah — in their lives and wealth, affliction, doesn't He give them? He does. Well, what's the difference then? The difference: one is patient, the other rebels. In this case the patient and the impatient are not the same. Those who know and those who do not know are not the same. One says: our Lord does not lay on our backs a load we cannot bear. I am content with what comes from Him, he says. The other, living in plenty, says: did I deserve this, that He should give me this punishment?

We hear this. They say these things. Did I deserve this? Yes. And this word is in the sense of rebellion against Allah. Not in the sense — in its very place, in rebellion. That is, he accuses Allah of injustice. Did I deserve this? Yes.

So no one can be as true to his word as Allah. According to the verse, Allah, keeping His promise, does not give these nations affliction or oppression. That is, to those who know Him. To those thankful for the blessings He gave, to those who worship Allah, and to those who fear Allah greatly and love Allah greatly, Allah does not give His affliction. Until the morals in them change.

Allah, keeping His promise, does not give (?) affliction or oppression. The afflictions Allah Almighty gives to make people witnesses to Himself and to test them are excepted. These are excepted. As I said a moment ago. According to the verse — Did you think you would die without proving what kind of person you are? — Allah Almighty gives people various afflictions, and in these afflictions man, by his obedience or disobedience to his Lord, proves himself.

Yes.

Until this nation strays from Allah's path and, faced with the abundant blessings Allah gave, grows insolent. It reaches the point of not listening to Allah's Messenger. Carried away by egoistic or satanic feelings, it oversteps decency and manners. If it lets its morals collapse — its morals; and among people morals have collapsed today. Exceptions do not break the rule. Among them, Allah will show those who dress in fine covering to them as an example; but if we put it in percentages, when we look, I see that for most of these people their morals have collapsed. They go about outside stark naked.

Every part of them in the open, and the more uncovered they (?), the more high-society they become. According to the verse: whoever envies them is like them. Even if they are Muslims, these people on their arms or chests, (?), get tattoos. At the same time, with the nakedness race, they have fallen into the craving of showing off to each other, and the verse "whoever resembles them is like them" — how well they prove it. Their course at the last moment, even if they are Muslims, is somewhat dangerous. Why dangerous? Take a notebook. A piece of paper. Write on it, erase, write, erase, write, erase, write, erase.

(?) that paper tears. It stops being paper. It tears, that is. Likewise this one lives shamelessly, lives, lives, lives. The faith in him darkens at the final point, and when he sees a little affliction, through rebellion, as an unbeliever, he passes into the hereafter. I say: O man, spend this life in worship, so that at your last moment, your last moment, you escape those angels taking your soul while striking your back and face, and go before your Lord with a clear brow.

Do not be deceived by this course of the world.

That Allah Almighty surrounds people from many sides, those whose eyes are blind cannot see. Who are these blind-eyed ones? Hatemallâhu alâ kulûbihim ve alâ sem'ihim ve alâ ebsârihim ğışâvetün ve lehüm azâbün azîm. Those who go toward them are also blind. Of those who go. Allah Almighty says this in His verse. Do not go toward the fire prepared for unbelievers, He says. How beautifully He says it.

Therefore, as a servant of Allah, as a being created by Allah, and as the most honoured being Allah created, and again as a being Allah made His addressee, man, as the most excellent of created beings, if he, in conscience, turns his back on the blessings Allah gave, then surely Allah Almighty, by His attribute of justice, will rain His affliction on them. Allah has justice.

Until this nation strays from Allah's path and, faced with the abundant blessings Allah gave, grows insolent. It no longer listens to Allah and His Messenger. Carried away by egoistic or satanic feelings, it oversteps decency and manners; if it lets its morals collapse, then Allah too changes toward them. If it changes, He too changes. Well Hodja, haven't you just ascribed attributes to Allah? Allah Almighty knew, didn't He, those who would come until the Day of Judgment; Allah Almighty has programmed it; of course He knows. Well, by Allah's attribute of justice, now when that person worships Allah Almighty, should Allah be unjust to him? He will give, of course, but He also knows what he will do in the end.

He knows he will turn away, or that he will not turn away. He knows it all. So in this case Allah Almighty — justice and wisdom, He says. He says: O man, as long as you worshipped Me, look how good you were, how good you were, and I was raining on you; well, what evil did you see from Me that you turned your back on My blessings and gave up worshipping Me — did you see some evil from Me, He says. Ah, then today you will see the return of what you did, He says. Isn't this Allah Almighty's justice? Yes.

So Allah too changes toward them. Because what everyone earns is the return of his two hands, and Allah is the Owner of justice. Allah Almighty saying: truly Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing — saying this means that He is aware of the state of all creation, that He is not unaware of what people do, that He even knows what passes through their hearts; according to the verse where He says He knows the secrets of hearts, what people need but themselves do not know, what is hidden in the innermost cell of the heart, that is, what they will live in their destiny, He knows.

Whatever he desired, Allah Almighty, in the form of characters, has inscribed it on him. Yes.

Accordingly, it is impossible for anyone to deceive Allah. No one can deceive Allah. Even if people deceive one another, at Allah's door those deceptions (?). By deeming his evil deeds permissible for himself, he will not make Allah helpless either. He only increases his own wrong against himself. And a person takes revenge on his own self. Look how beautiful Allah's justice is.

Allah Almighty does not say, like people: you did this, so I'll do this to you. He does not say: you insulted Me, well, so I'll insult you. However much you insult, however much you turn your back on Allah, however much you continue in disobedience to Allah and deny Allah, He rains on you. He keeps on giving. Prove yourself, He says. Look at how you are, He says. Tomorrow when you come before Me, I will settle your account. According to what? According to your deeds, He says. And what does He say? Today no one (?). According to the verse where He says what everyone earns is the return of his own two hands, every person will find the return of what he did.

And Allah Almighty says: We wrong no one. They wrong their own selves, He says. So if a person, with his actual deeds, toward Allah's verses lives in a (?) way, not listening to His command, this person, with these evils he has done, can do Allah no harm. Whom does he harm? He harms his own self. He takes revenge on his own self. Like whom? Like Pharaoh.

Like the peoples that were destroyed. Like the people of Ad, the people of Thamud, the people of Lot. Like the people of Noah. These are people who, by disobeying Allah, toward their own selves were oppressive. And who took revenge on their own selves. Because Allah Almighty wrongs no one. If man wrongs his own self, then, because, despite having so many blessings Allah gave, that he eats and drinks, he is ungrateful, by Allah's attribute of justice he will find the place he deserves. Yes.

So by saying truly Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing, Allah Almighty means: O people, I am aware of your every state and informed of all your conditions. Fear Me and obey Me. (?). Allah Almighty. Yes.
