Thus, if you seize them in battle, as an example, scatter them and the ones behind them (with the punishment you will give to them).
Tafsir
And if you capture a group of disbelievers in battle, that is, if you take them captive, scatter them and the people behind them, that is, leave no one to help them. Because they are restless, covenant-less, worldly people, worshipping the world with everything they have.
It is in the interest of humanity that these non-Muslims should be scattered in battle and weakened so that they cannot move. Because they are an incomprehensible people. They are the corrupters of the earth. Although they endure many hardships for the sake of the world, in the end they leave it in the world without being able to use it, and they are cruel to their souls when they pass on to the Hereafter without the mercy of Allah. As long as they live, they do not stop being cruel to themselves and those around them. In this respect, it is for humanity to remain in a state of helplessness so that they can live comfortably in the world. These are unthinking societies that do not hesitate to attack others if they find strength.
What is said in the video
In Surah Al-Anfal, verse 57, Allah Almighty speaks, about situations of war, in these verses. If you capture them in war, that is, if Islam prevails in war and you capture them, take them prisoner, or if you reach a treaty, so that they take a lesson, with the punishment you will give to those with them: those with them, who are they? Those who help them, who give them support. Well, those who, against the religion of Islam, help the disbelievers fighting Islam. Scatter those behind them too, He says. Scatter them, so that they do not gather again and, as a force, do harm to Islam. You capture the group of disbelievers in war.
That is, if you take prisoners, scatter those you captured and the community behind them. That is, don't leave those who help them. Because these won't stay quiet. They recognize no pledge. They have given their existence to the world. People who worship the world with everything they have. There are many words to say here, but we don't really want to say them.
Let me say this much. Such people who don't understand words, who worship the world, even by making their wives available to the other side, by handing them over to the other side, well, to earn their worldly gains, honor, chastity, dignity they don't recognize, these beings, these people. Beings, people, what can I call them; it doesn't fit, we'll call them creatures. Well, Hodja, aren't you a creature? I am the noblest of creatures. That is, the most honorable of the created. So? If you say creature, he is baser even than the four-legged ones roaming the earth. There is a verse. Like the four-legged ones roaming the earth, it says.
Going further, they are even more astray, it says. Yes. These non-Muslims being scattered by war, and weakening them, their becoming unable to stir is in the interest of the Muslims. Why in their interest? A Muslim does not do injustice. Even if he does injustice, he stops somewhere. Because there is conscience. He cannot be compared with a non-Muslim. A non-Muslim recognizes neither justice, nor right, nor law. What does he recognize? Only interest. People who live the religion of Islam cannot be compared with such people. So bind these fully, so that they do not harm Islam. Because as soon as they see they've grown a little stronger, they rise up and begin to do harm to Islam. They begin to stir up fitna on the earth.
These (?) to corrupt the earth.
Non-Muslims being scattered in war, and, by weakening them, their becoming unable to stir is in the interest of the Muslims. Because these are a society beyond reason. They are corrupters on the earth. For the world, many hardships they endure, yet in the end they leave it in the world without being able to use it. That is, his honor, his dignity, what he earned with many hardships, before he can even use it, he leaves that too in the world. He loves what Allah gave more than Allah. That's why he recognizes neither chastity, nor dignity, nor honor. In this case, since they carry on their lives according to their own minds, according to their own minds, with feelings of the nafs, so-called humanity living, whereas living baser than an animal, living more astray, they pass their lives.
Based on what, Hodja? Based on our being the noblest of creatures. Based on our honorable creation above the worlds.
What are their ideas?
A man, his wife: a non-Muslim, mind you, this one.
He sends her as a tourist. Well, (?), he says, if she finds a friend where she goes, that's her right, he says. It's her right. She needs that too, he says. So look. This dishonorable one: does this now befit, not for a Muslim but for a human being, the honorable creation above the worlds?
Even animals: some birds live until death with a single mate. A single mate. Even an animal, when it must, is jealous of its mate. Allah Almighty created them. Well then, while the animal is like this, you, though created as the noblest of their creatures, in this case, more astray than it, don't you fall into a (?)? You set out to reflect your so-called civilized thinking onto people. In fact you are displaying your perversion. Yes. What he earned in the world, and what he earned this dishonorably, he leaves in the world. He leaves it. He passes to the hereafter without using it. On passing to the hereafter without attaining Allah's mercy, they become wrongdoers against their own souls. That is, because they went against Allah's commands, they leave themselves exposed to the fire. And in this case they take revenge on their own souls with what their two hands have earned.
As long as they live, they don't refrain from doing wrong to themselves and those around them. Their wrongdoing is because they look after their interests. Therefore, their remaining helpless is the Muslims living in the world in comfort. When they find strength, these are (?) that do not refrain from attacking all around: such societies. Yes.
