Translation

Until overwhelming on earth (until disbelief is broken), it does not befit any Prophet to take captives. You desire the temporary worldly blessings, but Allah desires the hereafter (for you). Allah is Azeez (Exalted) and Hakeem (Ultimately-Wise).

Tafsir

It is unworthy of a Muslim to oppress people, to take them captive, and to expel them from their homes and places, and to resort to such actions in order to spread Islamic justice and Islam in the world, and to be deceived by the temporary blessings of this world. But fight against those who oppress people, who do not recognize the truth, and who gather forces to extinguish the light of Allah, until the light of Allah is completed, that is, until falsehood and oppression are abolished and the religion is Allah's. This means fight them until they spread truth and justice on the earth and eliminate sedition. Break the back of disbelief so that oppression and injustice will be eliminated and every human being will be free to live his own destiny and bear witness to Allah. So that he may find the status he deserves in the sight of Allah.

People want to be with the world, forgetting their duties to Allah, their Creator, by being deceived by the temporary blessings of this world. However, Allah wants to give people His paradise. He has created Paradise for people. Allah is the owner of wisdom. What we see as evil is in our favor. What we see as good is also against us. Allah knows the outcome and the unseen. Therefore, if a person submits to Allah's command, submits to it and fulfills it, he will have Allah's mercy and will pass away from this world having attained salvation in the Hereafter. These are the winners.

What is said in the video

We have come to verse 67 of Surah Al-Anfal.

Until he prevails on earth, until he breaks the back of disbelief, it does not befit any prophet to have captives. Prophets, even if they take captives, instruct them.

He even sends them back to their homeland as far as a safe place. He sends them to their homelands as far as safe places. And he would always tell them the truth. And they, through this conduct — in their homelands these humane feelings they had never seen — when they told their own people of them, those too would turn to Islam. That is how the back of disbelief was broken.

Yes. Until he prevails on earth, until he breaks the back of disbelief, it did not befit any prophet to have captives. You want the fleeting goods of this world. Whereas Allah wants the hereafter for you. Allah is Mighty, Wise, it says. So act with justice. Do not wrong anyone. Do not take lives unjustly.

This world is nothing but a temporary guesthouse. All of us, we are travelers, wayfarers. All of us are people in need of one another. So if we embrace one another well, if we carry on our backs the one left by the road, if we reach out our helping hands to them, then, since we have fulfilled the command Allah promised over us, in the hereafter too Allah will be our helper.

To oppress people in order to spread Islam's justice and Islam on earth, to take them captive and to drive people out of their homes and lands, to resort to such actions, deceived by the fleeting blessings of the world, does not befit a Muslim.

But against units that oppress people, that do not recognize the truth, that gather force to put out Allah's light — against them, until Allah's light is complete, that is, until falsehood and oppression are removed completely and religion belongs to Allah, fight, He commands.

Against the person who gathers force to abolish the religion of Islam and comes against you, fight for Allah, it says, so that you remove that oppression; by giving life to Allah's creatures, may Allah give you life too, it says. How beautifully Allah shows people the way. Yes.

The meaning here: until you remove fitna by spreading truth and justice on earth, fight them. Break the back of disbelief, so that oppression and injustice are removed. Let every person, living his own destiny within his own freedom, present himself to Allah (?). So that he may find the rank he deserves in Allah's sight. Yes.

People, deceived by the fleeting blessing of the world, forget their duties toward Allah, their Creator, and want to be with the world. Whereas Allah wants to give people the hereafter. He created His paradise for people. Allah makes no distinction among His servants. On earth. He treats everyone with justice. So Allah Almighty, in order to admit the people He created into His paradise, says: even if their sins had reached the clouds in the sky, when they make a (?) repentance, their, bad deeds are turned into good deeds, it says. Against such a generous Lord, if a person still digs in his heels and sets out to deny Him, about him too Allah Almighty says: if only they had known Me here.

In the hereafter. When they see the punishment, He says, if only they had known Me. There they made it up: "if they had known beforehand". Why would He say "beforehand" there? If only they had known Me here, He says. Here. Even so, if they said that, they — even if they said, yes, You are my Lord, He would still (?) them to hell. Well, Hodja, in Allah Almighty's verse, when they say: we have come, we have seen, we have heard, is there now no return to the world, let us worship You — "well, these are bearing witness to You", when that is said: their testimony is nothing but a lie. How do you know?

From the covenant they gave, from the characters given to them, from Allah's verse I know it. What does Allah Almighty say in the verse? Then, Hodja, tell us, let us listen to this too. Even if We sent you to the world not once but (?) more times, you would again do the same thing. Why? Because your characters are so. That is your life in the world. This is what your desire wants. "We were going to create such a being", says Allah Almighty. Without in any way applying (?), oppression and fear to them, without applying oppression, leaving them free in their own will, through that will His own Being to be known He would wish — such a being He would create.

That is people, as the noblest of creatures, as the most excellent of beings, their noble creation above the worlds. Since He gave from His spirit, that part has the qualities found in the whole, and within those qualities, that part knows its whole and submits to it. Like what? If the world is the likeness and shadow of the hereafter, can you deny your father?

Can you deny your mother who gave birth to you? Then Allah, who gave us from His spirit, who made us, as a part, addressees of His Being — can you deny Him? In this case, if you deny Him, then Allah (?) shows the place you deserve.

Yes. People, deceived by the fleeting blessing of the world, forget their duties toward Allah, the Creator, and want to be with the world. Whereas Allah wants to give people the hereafter. He created His paradise for people. Allah is Wise. What we see as bad for us is in our favor. And what we see as good is against us. Allah knows the outcome and the unseen. So if a person, consenting to Allah's command, bows his head and carries out His command, then, attaining Allah's mercy and winning the hereafter, he departs from the world having attained salvation. These are the winners. What does it say? The man that Ya-Sin speaks of says: I have won.

He comes from the far end of the city. "Believe", he says, "the one who invites you to Allah without asking you any wage" — when he says this, they say "are you one of them too?" and stone him to death. Before his body even falls to the ground, he says: I have won. I have won. What did he win? That Allah Almighty, with a smiling face (?), let him attain His paradise. Yes. Accordingly, a person will call himself to account. With his conscience: our Lord creating these worlds, creating man as a part, giving him a part of His Being, making him His addressee, creating him superior over the worlds, leaving him free in his own will, making him, as the noblest of creatures, the caliph of the earth, placing His creatures under his command — before this sublimity of Allah, before so many blessings He gave man, with what feeling does man oppose his Lord and turn his back on Him?

What conscience? Yes.
