Now eat from the spoils (of war) you have seized as halal and clean and fear Allah. Allah is Ghafoor (Forgiving) and Raheem (the One who very generously accepts repentance).
Tafsir
The spoils of war belong to the beyt al-mal, the state, and some of it belongs to the people who fought in the war. From this distributed wealth, eat and use it lawfully. And spend not what you have received in forbidden ways, and fear Allah that you may be forgiven.
No human being exists or has been created who does not commit mistakes and who does not fall into sin by following his ego. If such a mistake-free human being had been created, Allah would have created a human being equal to Himself. Allah has demonstrated the greatness of His Essence and His exaltedness and His omniscience and omnipotence through the faults and shortcomings of human beings and their committing mistakes. Therefore, whoever turns to Allah (swt) with the mistakes he has committed and the sins he has committed and begs Him and asks for forgiveness of his sins, Allah (swt) forgives his sins with His attribute of Tawwab.
Allah is very compassionate, merciful and forgiving towards His creatures. Because Allah created man so that His Essence may be known. Man was created imperfect and faulty according to Allah's will, so if man turns to Allah's Essence and asks for forgiveness for the mistakes he has made, he will be granted Allah's forgiveness because it is in accordance with the purpose for which he was created.
May Allah Almighty grant and enable all people to realize the purpose of their creation, to fear Allah very much in the face of His existence, to love Allah very much, to judge by what Allah says, to see the shortcomings in our own souls within this judgment, to turn to Allah Almighty for forgiveness for our sins, to ask for forgiveness from Him, and to be subjected to Allah's forgiveness and to annex us to the servants whom Allah Almighty forgives.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Anfal, verse 69. So now eat of what you have taken of the spoils, as lawful and good. And fear Allah; indeed Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. From the ransoms you have taken, without taking lives, without taking lives, so as to meet your needs, release them again in that way, it says. Eat of that too with enjoyment. Spoils taken during war, spoils, just as part goes to the treasury, that is, to the state, another part is the right of those who were in the war and fought. Spoils taken in war. Yes. So eat and use lawfully from this distributed property. From the distributed property. Allah Almighty here — there is a difference in these two verses.
In the first one it says ransom. In this one it says of the spoils. Of the spoils. Ransom is one thing. Spoils are another. Spoils: on a battlefield, on a battlefield, one wins the war and may, if one wishes, seize all of a state's treasures. This is spoils. From these spoils, to those present in the war, to those who fight, to martyrs, to martyrs' families, a share of the spoils is given. The rest belongs to the treasury, belongs to the state. It belongs to the state's treasury. In this
case, according to this verse, if we compare the one above with the next verse,
Neither go and fall captive for ransom, nor let your state's spoils, as spoils, be crushed under the boots of non-Muslim clowns.
Rather than give those spoils to those clowns, I would give my life in the way of Allah; that is better. This is not mere talk. These are words spoken within faith.
I will give the right of the little orphan to the state. Then, the little orphan's right that I gave to the state — I will flee from the war. Under the feet of the (?), I will give it to him as spoils. Just look at that.
This homeland is defended until a single person remains. until a single person remains. If that is Allah's decree. That is why it says, hold your feet (?). A Muslim, even with spoils, wrongs no one on the battlefield. Nor does he wrong the captive. The captive. But if it is an unbeliever, a non-Muslim, they, it says, do not heed treaties. If they prevail, they do as they please, it says. As they please: before your eyes the unbeliever will violate your honor, trample your homeland, torment you, put your wife and children to the sword, and work you like a slave.
You will lay what was entrusted to you under the unbeliever's feet. This is not written in our Book.
Now, you know, they say this man keeps saying Atatürk, Atatürk, he's always on about Atatürk. Now come and understand Atatürk.
It fell to 10 million, this state fell to 10 million, but it did not surrender the homeland.
They fought on the fronts.
The Efes went up to the mountains and protected the cities. In this way they fought to the end, but they left us a homeland. Then, because your Ata destroyed the non-Muslims, defeated them, broke the non-Muslims' pride and arrogance, they, out of pride and arrogance, having (?) in their necks, since they could not bow their necks to the ground, portrayed your Ata to you as an enemy like this. And the poor (?) swallowed it. If I call Atatürk an unbeliever, I'll be a great Muslim. What does this have to do with Islam? Whether you call a person an unbeliever or not, what does that have to do with Islam?
you don't look at what a person did for this homeland with his deeds, with his life, you don't look, and with the unbeliever's made-up words you declare your Ata a non-Muslim, and by denying him you both flatter the non-Muslim's pride and, shame on you, heartlessly deny your Ata. Deny the service done to this homeland. Yes. A bitter thing. Truly a bitter thing. Whether a person is religious or not is one thing. The service done to this homeland, leaving future people a bright Türkiye, is another. Yes, so that in the future this nation would not remain in captivity, he had these (?) beheaded. How well he did.
Take a child. At 7 or 8 you send him to learn the Quran. He learns the Quran. A very good thing. He becomes a hafiz. That is also a very good thing. Very good. He will learn his religion. He grows up with whatever he learned within that knowledge. He grows up with words he hears here and there.
And if he's a bit eloquent, with his ideas, a (?), a poor person whose mind doesn't work, a person stuck at a certain level. If his voice is nice too, people follow him. With the superstitions, the fabrications he tells, if the nation had been in this state, today Türkiye's place would be quite different. That is why Atatürk, because he saw these superstitions, saw these situations, removed them. He set Türkiye on a good (?) for the future. He had religious and state affairs separated. He set up a very fine (?).
Today, people privileged in religion, those who appear that way, people without education and upbringing, people; they are in the affairs of the educated ones too, these sell-outs, these (?), they are in their affairs too.
If these had gotten these people to follow them, today Türkiye would not have found its present place.
So, once again I remember Atatürk with mercy. May Allah fill his resting place with light.
So, without knowing what you're talking about, don't talk. Oh, he abolished the caliphate. The caliphs I know of are four caliphs. Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali. After that, after the Rightly Guided Caliphs, there is no caliph. What caliph?
There are relics, precious relics. And they are in our museums anyway. What did they make you swallow? Oh, they write texts, it's documented. You are responsible before Allah. Some English commander or other wrote this. And I say, keep that document to yourself. That's how it is, with such fabricated superstitions. If you believe the word of the one Allah Almighty calls lying unbelievers, and (?) the word of the one who lives Islam in Islam, who serves you, you don't believe, can you then, living the Islamic state, perceive the degree of your own faith?
Can you distinguish between Islam and a non-Muslim? If you believe the word of the one Allah Almighty calls lying unbelievers and push aside your Muslim brother's word, which mindset, I wonder, are you serving? Or with what words are you trying to protect Islam? With what ignorance of yours?
Look, pay attention to the verses. Spoils, spoils. What does it say? It speaks of spoils. You will die. You will die for Allah. But you will not surrender your homeland. You will not surrender your religion, your faith, your honor.
Thus Allah commands. Our mothers, sending their sons to the army, would say: my son, if you desert, I will not forgive you my milk. Yes. And Allah Almighty says: do not flee before the enemy, do not hold back. Whoever withdraws, it says, whoever flees, is an unbeliever. Let him prepare his place in Hell, it says. Let him prepare his place in Hell. But on one condition, it says. On condition that he does not join a strong unit. Or by withdrawing, gathering strength and attacking again, it says. Yes.
So spoils are earned. Against whom? Against the non-Muslim, against those who spread that oppression. So that Islam spreads right and justice on earth. As the Ottomans did. Why do they show you the Ottomans as bad? What is the reason? Because they were spreading right and justice on earth. Yes.
isn't that so, or are we saying something wrong? spoils taken during war: just as part goes to the treasury, that is, the state, another part is the right of those present in the war and who fought; so from this distributed property, lawfully eat and use; do not spend what you received by consuming it in forbidden ways; fear Allah so that you may be forgiven. I got it, I attained wealth. What did I do? Forbidden way. Off I went to drink, to gambling, to adultery, Allah forbid. Or I lent money (?) at interest.
So Allah Almighty warns you, warns us. What does it say? Do not spend in forbidden ways. Yes. For the spoils you received, the provision you attained, in return, Allah's command upon you, observe it, it says. Give the return for that provision He gave, that provision that reached you, in a lawful way, it says. In a lawful way.
What is its lawful way?
It is to give the zakat of that wealth you have. What else? To give sadaqat al-fitr. What else? To religious students or students, to mosques, roads, water, to the poor and needy, as much as you can, to give help. What else? In wartime, with your property or with your life, to help. Those who strive in the way of Allah with their lives and their property, it says. These too are what is spent in good.
There is no person, nothing created or uncreated, that does not commit errors and, following its nafs, does not resort to sin. If a person who never errs had been created, Allah forbid, Allah would have created a person equal to His Essence. Allah has shown the loftiness of His Essence, His freedom from deficient attributes, that He is All-Knowing and Able to do all things, through people being faulty and deficient, through their committing errors; He has shown it. What does the verse say? If people had not committed errors, We would destroy them and in their place create servants who commit errors.
And what is this? That Allah Almighty, in these worlds, is the Owner of these worlds, is free from deficient attributes, that all His creatures are in need of His Essence; this is what it declares. In this case, if all creatures are in need of His Essence, you, who are in need of His Essence, cannot turn your back on that Creator. If you turn, you are being ungrateful. Then, then you suffer its punishment both in this world and in the hereafter. Yes.
Therefore, whoever, with the errors he has committed, the sins they have done, turns to Allah Almighty, implores Him, and asks for his sins to be forgiven, Allah Almighty forgives his sins with His attribute (?). Allah is very (?) toward His creatures, merciful and forgiving. Yes. Because Allah created man so that His Essence would be known. Man, however, was created deficient and faulty in proportion to Allah's (?). Therefore, because of the errors people commit, if a person turns to Allah's Essence and asks for pardon and forgiveness, since it fits the purpose of creation, he attains Allah's (?) pardon and forgiveness.
All people: among His servants who, realizing the purpose of creation, before Allah's existence fear Him greatly and love Allah greatly, abide by what Allah says, and within this ruling see the shortcomings in our own selves, turn to Allah Almighty for our sins, ask His pardon, and are granted Allah's pardon, may He include us all among those servants.
